Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated will pause to honor the founding of our beloved sisterhood and pay homage to the vision, courage, tenacity and oneness of purpose of the extraordinary women who dared to create the first organization for college-trained women whose mission is to support and promote sisterhood, scholarship and service.
AKA Reactivation Day
On this special day in the life of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, members will be intentional in reclaiming lost pearls in our homes, workplaces, colleges, churches and other areas of our lives where we interact with Alpha Kappa Alpha women who have not been active in our sisterhood and assist them in reconnecting through reactivation initiatives and special activities.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. International Day of Service
Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by engaging in a day of service in our communities and around the world to promote peace and community through love in keeping with Dr. King’s life and teachings.
Pink Goes Red for Heart Health
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is proud to join the AmericanHeartAssociation in the fight against heart disease in order to improve the health of all women. On this special day, Alpha Kappa Alpha women will take off our pink and wear red for the day to raise awareness of this deadly disease and promote life changes that will increase the longevity and quality of the lives of women around the globe.
